DEPARTMENT: Betty J. Taylor Early Learning Academy (TELA)
JOB SUMMARY: Assist in the overall preparation and delivery of the TELA food service. Prepare a nutritious menu for the program that meets all requirements of the CACFP. Order, stock and rotate food; Maintain equipment and kitchen area; Operate all kitchen appliances (including dishwasher): Clean and sanitize kitchen on a daily basis; Prepare and serve meals for family/staff events as needed. Perform any task deemed necessary for the program.
COMPENSATION: $18.39 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
Six (6) months food preparation experience to include preparation for large groups
Experience working in an Early Childhood environment preferred
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
Current Food Handler’s permit
Must test negative for TB prior to hire
Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
Blood Borne Pathogens certificate prior to hire
Must abide by the departments MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination policy
Must be able to pass an agility exam to determine if physically capable to perform the job functions.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment and MERIT background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
