Exercise Physiologists assess design and implement exercise programs to improve patients health and fitness levels often working with those with chronic conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fitness assessments and evaluate patients exercise needs.
- Develop personalized exercise programs tailored to individual goals and conditions.
- Monitor patients during exercise sessions and provide guidance on proper techniques.
- Educate patients on the importance of physical activity for health and wellness.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to integrate exercise into patient care plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
- Certification from a recognized body (e.g. ACSM NSCA).
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire patients.
