MISSION

  • At ClearGivers, our mission is to get people what they need, fast, while empowering donors to give transparently, meaningfully and autonomously What does this mean? … 
  • ----://---.----------.--- (a 501c3) operates an online gift registry where charities create wish-lists of goods & services that they need. Donors can view charities and their wish-lists, and use their donations to buy goods & services that are on the charities’ wish-lists. All the goods & services come from local stores.
  • We want you on the team to grow our marketing and business development efforts, so that charities and donors know that we’re here, and join our platform

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW 

  • You will:
    • assist with local charity database compilation and analysis;
    • assist with marketing efforts (various);
    • research, call and email charities operating within Los Angeles;
    • co-ordinate with charities to help them create wish-lists on The ClearGivers Platform;
    • assist with fundraising efforts (various);
    • identify and reach out to individual donors to help them experience the groundbreaking, new donor journey offered by The ClearGivers Platform.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Marketing work - potentially including content creation, ideation, social media data analysis;
  • Researching charities operating in the Los Angeles area;
  • Contacting those charities to help them register for a wish-listing account;
  • Liaising with charities about goods & services they need;
  • Researching & contacting potential donors;
  • Language skills are gratefully received

TIME COMMITMENT

  • 10 - 20 hours per week
  • Mondays / Fridays 9 - 1pm
  • Tuesdays / Wednesdays / Thursdays 10 - 5pm
  • 30-minute team catch up on Zoom once per week

  • gain direct insight into the needs of your community, while building valuable contacts;
  • enhance your resume with a significant role in building the platform;
  • develop new skills in data analysis, report writing and communications;
  • school credits may be available;
  • be first in line for hiring in later 2025

IMPACT

The ClearGIvers Platform is a 501c3 established to narrow the gap between supply and demand in a transparent way. We intend to build strong, sustainable communities with involved, active and plugged-in members at all levels. Your work will help us to do that.

Using our platform:

  • charities reduce storage costs by up to 20%, and gain the ability to request & receive difficult-to-source items;
  • donors see exactly how, when and where their donations are spent, thereby re-gaining trust in the system
  • local stores are involved in the community to a greater degree

The ClearGivers Platform is a means to link communities together so they become stronger, better and more sustainable for the long term. Please help us to strengthen the world around us by getting involved at this early stage

SKILLS

  • Technical proficiency (particularly email communications, Excel and Word);
  • Ability to use Canva / other creative tools
  • Language skills are welcomed
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Organization, motivation and reliability
  • Keen to learn, great at teamwork, ability to make valuable contributions.
