Job Summary

We are seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Caregiver Services and Health Promotion Coordinator position. This role involves overseeing education programs, events, and opportunities for caregivers and older adults, under the guidance of the Elder Resources Program Manager. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a deep understanding of the elderly demographic and the challenges they face, as well as their caregivers. A candidate must possess strong attention to detail, exceptional project management abilities, the capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively, adept collaboration skills, and the ability to build and sustain connections with members of the community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Plans, develops and implements programs to serve older adults and their caregivers. Facilitates programs and support groups for older adults and caregivers. Coordinates presentations to the community and outreach activities to raise public awareness of the program. Completes special projects. Represents the division on inter and intra-departmental committees. Performs other essential job functions related to the position and department.
*Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00 including some weekends and holidays*

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work or gerontology and three (3) years of experience of direct professional experience working with older adults.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in social work, gerontology, or a related field. 

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Pass pre-employment criminal, credit, and DMV background checks.  Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).  Complete department and state required training as necessary.
