Overview

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a consulting firm located in Huntington Beach CA and are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Document Review Paralegal to join our legal team specializing in mesothelioma and construction defect cases. This is a critical role requiring expertise in handling complex legal documents and assisting in case preparation for litigation.

Key Responsibilities

Review and summarize depositions effectively, ensuring detailed accuracy and relevance to the case. Take and transcribe dictation from legal professionals, converting spoken words into clear and organized written documents. Create comprehensive reports to be included with case briefs, contributing to the overall strategy and support of the litigation team. Manage and organize large volumes of documents, ensuring all materials are readily accessible and properly filed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a paralegal in document review, particularly in mesothelioma or construction defect litigation preferred. Exceptional legal writing skills, with the ability to produce well-crafted, error-free documents under tight deadlines. Fast and accurate typing skills, with a strong emphasis on grammatical correctness and no tolerance for typos [required]. Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures related to mesothelioma and construction defect cases. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on delivering quality work within specified deadlines.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, specifically with responsibilities in deposition summarization and legal writing. Certification or degree in paralegal studies from an accredited institution preferred. Proficiency in standard office software and legal case management tools.
