Contracting Officer Representative

Summary

In this position, you will serve as a Contracting Officer Representative in the Resilience National Preparedness Directorate's Emergency Management Institute in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The ideal candidate will possess government contracting and procurement policy and regulation experience, to include planning, analysis, administration, monitoring/executing, tracking, closing out various contracts and other related activities.

Duties

What will I do in this position if hired?

In this position, you will serve as a Contracting Officer Representative in the National Preparedness Directorate's Emergency Management Institute. Typical assignments include:

Independently overseeing the planning, analysis, administration, monitoring/executing, tracking, and closing out of the various contracts and related activities. Participating in technical evaluation panels, developing statements of work, conducting market research, and creating independent government cost estimates. Executing various DHS directives, serving as the primary authorized representative by the Contracting Officer for a Program major acquisition investment. Assisting and advising Contracting Officers and Program Managers on acquisition matters for the entire program. Participating in conducting quality assurance and inspection activities, reviewing and approving invoices, and oversight responsibilities.
