Graduate Teacher

Role

This is a unique opportunity for you to work in a specialised senior environment catering for a large number of VCE studies, whilst also having the capacity to embed your understanding, implementation and delivery of the Victorian Curriculum through Year 10. You will be empowered by education support staff, teachers and leaders in a highly collaborative workplace, with opportunities for professional development, career advancement The College has a highly supportive staff with a culture of collaboration and innovation. We have many tiers of support for staff including: Heads of Domain, Learning Specialists, the Engagement in Learning Team comprised of House Leaders and Year Level Coordinators, the Wellbeing Team and specialised Education Support staff. The Principal Class have an open door policy and are available to staff at all times. You will guide young people as they prepare for life beyond senior secondary education Our thorough induction process ensures you will be set up for success with a mentor to provide support throughout the year with curriculum, assessment, reporting & College processes and act as a first point of contact for any questions or concerns. Graduate teachers are fully supported through the VIT registration process by their mentor and our team of Learning Specialists.

About you

You are a teacher or educational leader with a passion for teaching to the highest level, You inspire intellectually stimulating, creative and inclusive learning environments that maximise outcomes for all students.  You have a background in teaching (either experienced or as a Graduate) in your specialised teaching methods and are looking for an opportunity to build your expertise as a teacher in a school that specialises in VCE.

Tarneit Senior College is seeking qualified teachers to joining our growing community. Applicants must hold or be eligible to hold VIT.

Program Benefits

This position attracts an incentive payment of $5,650 (pre-tax) for the successful candidate who meets the eligibility criteria set out under conditions of employment.
