The is currently recruiting to fill a Teacher Supervisor position. This position is based out of Oshkosh Correctional Institution in Oshkosh, WI (Winnebago County).

Position Summary

This position functions as the Education Teacher Supervisor with primary responsibility for providing direct supervision to assigned academic and Career & Technical Education (CTE) teachers.

This position also assists in the overall operation and supervision of the institution’s education programs; develops, coordinates, manages and evaluates a variety of other comprehensive education programs as assigned by the Education Director; assists in development and administration of the competency-based curriculum; and assumes responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the education department in the absence of the Education Director.

Salary Information

This position is in pay schedule and range 81-03 with a starting pay of $36.00/hour - $44.33/hour .Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire.A probationary period is required.

This position may receive supplemental (add-on) pay adjustments for additional credits relevant to the position that are over and above the credits needed for certification. This add-on ranges from $0.97/hour to $2.97/hour of additional pay, based on relevant credits and professional development actions, as allowed in Section A (4.12) of the .

Job Details

This position offers an optional hybrid remote work schedule, up to 1 day remote per week with supervisor approval. Anticipated schedule will be Monday – Friday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM with a 45-minute unpaid lunch. This position is FLSA Exempt.This position is not anticipated to travel on a regular basis, but most DOC positions occasionally travel for training, meetings, conferences, or similar events.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have:

A Bachelor’s degree in an educational related program (e.g. Teaching, content specialist with teaching minor, Vocational Trade currently offered within DOC, etc.) Experience teaching and performing classroom management Experience developing and updating curriculum


In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have:

A Master’s Degree in Education or related field Experience supervising staff (e.g. hiring, training, assigning and directing work, performance evaluations, discipline, dismissal, settling grievances, etc.) Experience facilitating the professional growth, development, and education of staff (e.g. mentoring, coaching, training, instructing)
