Overview:

  • The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing safe and holistic care to patients and families by utilizing the nursing process.
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes through continuous learning and leadership.
  • Focuses on patient's psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and age specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to hospital policies for medication safety and patient care.
  • Addressing patient needs and ensuring safety in a timely manner.
  • Building a supportive environment for the team.
  • Applying critical thinking and adapting care plans as necessary.
  • Providing patient education and utilizing technology effectively.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Active RN licensure in Kansas
  • ACLS certification

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-3 years in Medical Oncology
  • 1-3 years in Cardiac Rehab or related area
  • 3-5 years in Radiation Oncology or similar setting
  • 3-5 years in Admission Transfer Services

Additional Certifications:

  • NIHSS Certification for specific units
  • Specialized certifications for different departments
  • Renewable certifications for ongoing skill development
