DEPARTMENT: Natural Cultural Resources- Forestry



JOB SUMMARY:

Manage daily activities of the Tulalip Forestry Program. This includes successful program budget management; timber sale contracting and administration; consult with staff to implement silvi-cultural timber stand management prescriptions; forest road design, construction, maintenance and repair



COMPENSATION: $41.06 hr.





MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION



High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry or related field. * Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE



Five (5) years of professional Forestry experience.
Five (5) years’ experience performing timber cruising and extensive forestry data analysis.
Five (5) years in Forest market valuations, timber purchase and sale negotiating experience.
Five (5) year’s supervisory and/or management experience.
Five (5) years’ experience with Road design, construction and maintenance of logging haul roads.
One (1) year experience with ArcGIS mappings, GPS data collection, data recording.
Experienced in commercial herbicide applications: State Herbicide applicator’s License. Preferred

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES



WA State Driver’s License. ( Personal Auto Insurance )
Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations ( Abstract Required )
CPR and First Aid certification.
Must pass an Agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing the job
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
