Summary

The Program Specialist working as a Systems Redesign Coordinator (SRC) in the Quality Management/Patient Safety Service at the Dayton VA Medical Center. The primary purpose of the position is to coordinate clinical and administrative systems redesign initiatives and to assess and improve complex processes associated with healthcare delivery.

Duties

Major duties include but are not limited to:

Evaluating, predict and advise on effective ways for the organization to utilize manpower, equipment, materials, and information to provide healthcare services. Coordinate the medical facility System Redesign programs and objectives Contributing to the design and execution of innovation strategies Gathering and organization of narrative and statistical information using established methods, techniques, and precedents such as questionnaires, interviews, and data mining, provide technical advice Addressing specific problem areas and applies a high degree of analytical ability and specialized healthcare knowledge Coordinating and education for medical center process improvement and innovation activities and is responsible for work group facilitation Coordinating ongoing data collection and analysis and uses knowledge of systems redesign principles or other notable improvement methodologies Researching and applying relevant business and organizational practices. Establishing process controls to ensure recommendations and actions are complete. Promoting collegial relationships, uses creative problem solving, and practices flexibility Liaison for topics related to systems redesign and innovation

Work Schedule: 8:00am- 4:30pm Monday- Friday
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
