Duties

As a Counseling Technician CY-1702-2, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:

Counseling with students, families and groups following treatment plans and dorm guidelines. Assists in maintaining the operation of the Substance Abuse Counseling Specialist. Maintains accurate files and records of overdue or lost materials. Maintains statistics and appropriate records as they pertain to the operation of the Residential Dormitory, Substance Abuse, Mental Health, and Treatment Plans. Assists with instruction, training, and work assignments in accordance with the treatment plans. Serves as a consultant in school and community working with organized groups toward desired changes, offering personal and technical skills. Preparing, maintaining and safeguarding written reports, records, and evaluations, relative to student/patient care and treatment.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a background clearance. Must possess and maintain valid state driver's license.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
