Clinician III / Supportive Housing Coordinator duties include: Perform duties necessary for the overall operations of the CIBH Permanent Supportive Housing program, including overseeing staff and services for daily operations.Provide direct supervision to Housing Case Manager and Housing Specialist(s); assigning tasks and responsibilities, providing support and guidance to staff, and ensuring that staff receive training for best practice.Maintain program data and record systems, provide program status reports as needed. Ensure that the program complies with regulations and standards of DBHDS and maintains fidelity to evidence-based practices and Housing-First principlesMonitor all budget expenditures within the guidelines of grant-funding.Process referrals and applications for the program, verifying eligibility of applicants, assessing housing needs of the participants, and coordinating needed services.Assist in selection of new staff, training, assigning, and evaluating work, including counseling and discipline, and performance reviews.Clinician III serve as liaison with community landlords, CHRA housing Authority, Coordinated Entry agency, and assist the program to locate and develop partners and advocate for the needs of the tenants.Provide services and supports during staff vacancyProvide on-call emergency back-up for tenants and landlordsClinician III performs other related duties as assigned. Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a closely related field or another degree as approved by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Requires a valid driver’s license with a driving record that is in compliance with City’s Driving Standards. Depending on assignment, may require Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP – Adult or Child) or Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) certification and highest Part C standards within 6 months of hire; CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications within 3 months of hire; Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification upon hire; Case Management Modules and Intellectual Disabilities Workbook completed within thirty days of hire; Part C Early Intervention Certification within six months of hire; and/or Pre-Screening Certification within 6 weeks of hire (12 weeks for part-time staff).

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standard, this class requires a minimum of three years of related, full-time equivalent experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor Degree in human services related field
QMHP-A required
CSAC preferred
3-5 years experience in the mental health field preferred
