Our client, a well-established FI is seeking an experienced Application Team Lead to manage and drive the development, implementation, and support of banking applications within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of application developers and support staff, managing both day-to-day operations and long-term development projects. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of banking and finance applications, ensuring they align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and IT teams to ensure application requirements are accurately translated into effective technical solutions. Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of all applications, identifying and resolving any technical issues or risks. Develop and enforce best practices in software development, including coding standards, version control, and testing methodologies. Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from requirements gathering through to implementation and post-production support. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Coordinate incident management and problem resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Prepare and present status reports, metrics, and risk assessments to senior management and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with industry regulatory standards and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in application development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the banking or finance industry. Strong experience in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or C++. Proven experience in project management, with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
