Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer with handson experience in Palo Alto and Cisco technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our enterprise network infrastructure. You will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure the security availability and performance of the network systems while managing both cloud and onpremises environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design configure and manage network infrastructure using Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco routers/switches.
  • Implement and maintain firewall policies to ensure network security and compliance with organizational and industry standards.
  • Perform network troubleshooting diagnostics and provide level 2/3 support for networkrelated issues.
  • Monitor network performance to identify bottlenecks possible security breaches and opportunities for improvement.
  • Configure and maintain VPNs VLANs and wireless networks across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with other teams on network design and architecture especially as it relates to cloud (AWS Azure) and hybrid environments.
  • Maintain network documentation including network diagrams device configurations and inventory records.
  • Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain security.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and participate in network failover testing.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends best practices and emerging technologies related to networking security and firewall management.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 35 years of experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco networking equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Palo Alto security platforms including configuration management and troubleshooting.
  • Handson experience with Cisco routers switches (Catalyst Nexus) and wireless networking.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP DNS DHCP BGP OSPF and EIGRP protocols.
  • Experience with network security concepts such as IDS/IPS VPN IPsec and SSL encryption.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Nagios or PRTG.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS Azure) and SDWAN technologies.
  • Experience with automation and scripting (Python Ansible) to manage network infrastructure.
  • Understanding of network segmentation and Zero Trust architecture principles.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Proactive approach to problemsolving and continuous improvement.
