Clinical Nurse - Float Pool

About the Position:
As a Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool at Olathe Health Pavilion, located at 21120 W. 152nd St., you will play a crucial role in coordinating interdisciplinary patient care. Your responsibilities will include providing safe and therapeutic care, integrating knowledge and skills to meet patient needs, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring continuous improvement in practice settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to hospital medication safety policies and practices.
  • Respond to patient calls, assess needs, and prioritize care.
  • Anticipate and address concerns regarding patient and staff safety.
  • Consistently meet work schedule and model effective communication.
  • Coordinate healthcare services and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and adapt care plans as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for professional growth and perform comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Provide direct nursing care, including administering treatments and educating patients and families.
  • Seek additional learning experiences and effectively utilize technology for patient care delivery.
Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure as per Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Healthcare Provider CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
  • Additional unit-specific certifications may be required for some units.
