The Opportunity
As a Technical Service Specialist with Tradebe you will use your Lab Packing knowledge to work closely with customers and help grow our Lab Pack and Treatment & Disposal business. This is a home-based position supporting as assigned region.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by ensuring all operations adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies, while fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Scope jobs and develop quotations in conjunction with Third Party Vendors and Direct Customers when technical sales opportunities exist.
- Develop strategies to maximize pricing and profitability for Tradebe's lab pack business line.
- Work in conjunction with the Regional Sales and Operations personnel to develop and execute sustainable business plans for potential customers.
- Determine the adequacy of present levels of service for current and prospective customers and recommend service adjustments or corrective action during customer service calls.
- Act as a liaison between Sales and Operations to provide technical expertise on how the job should be executed.
- Generate new business by aggressively prospecting within assigned territory/region.
- Develop work order information for jobs sold and clearly communicate job needs to the Operations Manager or Operations Management team.
- Follow through on all quotations until won or lost, and complete waste material profile sheets as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Biology is preferred.
- One or more years of lab packing experience is required, and applicants with industry experience are strongly preferred.
- A working knowledge of environmental statutes and regulations, business development, revenue enhancement, and market penetration.
- Excellent interpersonal, communications, presentation and negotiating skills.
- Must be able to obtain their 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Must have the ability to wear a full-face respirator at any time.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check is required.
- Driver's License and the ability to reliably commute to potential customer sites as needed.
