POSITION SUMMARY : Under limited supervision, the Inspector conducts on-site inspections and preliminary, for-cause, or routine investigations of facilities and individuals licensed by the professional boards to ensure compliance with state laws, rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :

Conduct inspections for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Visit establishments to verify that valid licenses and permits are displayed, and that licensing standards are being upheld. Investigate consumer complaints and suspected permit or license violations. Operate vehicles safely and within policy limits. Use issued and appropriate equipment to document inspections. Issue and serve documents for licensing boards. Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision. Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas. Maintain current knowledge of laws and board rules. Issue copies of reports to inspected entities. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation. Perform other related duties as assigned. Prepare for and testify in board hearings.

SUPERVISION : None required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Three (3) years of related experience.A valid driver’s license is required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field AND Five years of experience managing professional level staff OR Nine years of experience AND Five years of management experience at the level equivalent to area of assignment OR Five years of experience at the lower level Sr Mgr, Business Ops (GSM012). Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
