The Mammography technologist administers ionizing radiation when performing screening and/or diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols. The Mammography technologist demonstrates an understanding of breast anatomy physiology pathology and medical terminology as they relate to the procedure. Maintains a high degree of accuracy in breast positioning exposure techniques and subsequent evaluation of imaging parameters to optimize patient imaging and care while adhering to radiation protection and safety standards. The mammography technologist integrates technical skills patient interaction and care to obtain viable diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.

Must Haves:

  • Relevant experience or New Grad
  • Post High School Diploma Program
  • RT (R) or RT (R) (M)
  • BLS Certification
