We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Dental Hygienist to join our team on a full time basis. I believe in giving our hygienists the time they need with patients during hour-long appointments to provide thorough, personalized care. This has translated in our office to high recall rates historically.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth.
  • Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including reviewing medical history, evaluating gum health, and identifying potential issues.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, following established protocols for patient safety.
  • Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' oral health needs.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition, to prevent dental issues and promote whole-body health.
  • Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to help protect teeth from decay.
  • Assist dentists during dental procedures, such as applying anesthesia, retracting tissues, and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records.
  • Monitor and maintain dental equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality and infection control.
  • Uphold strict infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring a comfortable and friendly environment during appointments.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene and oral health through continuing education.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state dental hygiene license.
  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • CPR certification.
  • Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist, preferably in a quality-focused dental office.
  • Proficiency in performing dental cleanings, oral assessments, and taking X-rays.
  • Strong understanding of oral health's connection to overall well-being.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and engage patients.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a high standard of infection control.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team of dental professionals.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24-40 per week
