AECOM is seeking a Conveyance Project Manager to be based in Orange, California or Los Angeles, California.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Technical oversight of design staff and team members for water and wastewater infrastructure projects including water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance pipelines, water pump stations, wastewater and stormwater lift stations, and related conveyance infrastructure.

  • Manage condition assessment and rehabilitation design for linear infrastructure; as well as, design of new storm and sanitary sewer systems, transmission and distribution watermains.

  • Identifies new business opportunities for the firm, coordinates and participates in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promotes firm's capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients.

  • Participates in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and the preparation of firm's qualification/experience statements.

  • Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, and drafts complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.

  • Directs project team and client compliance with contract terms and monitors subcontractors' compliance with contractual commitments.

  • Prepares project work plan, scope, schedule and budget, and communicates these to project team members; monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget and quality objectives.

  • May supervise technical professionals, associate project managers and design staff including workload and staffing management.

  • Monitors and reports financial status of projects to technical managers.

  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ten (10) or more years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in California or the ability to obtain one within first 6 months of employment is preferred.

  • Experience working on municipal projects.

  • Experience working with local clients in the Southern California region is a plus.

  • Candidates must have proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking and persuasive ability; strong project financial management along with ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplined teams.
