FIU Manager

In this role, the FIU Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the employees within the assigned group, provides direction, sets goals, and ensures department goals are attained.Ensure the duties of the FIU Specialists are performed as expected.Along with the FIU Director of Operations, establish positive and effective working relationships with other FIU and external department leaders.Maintain proficiency in all aspects of BSA/AML compliance; attend FIU training as assigned by the Chief BSA Officer.Adhere to all provisions of South State Bank policies and procedures, including the confidentiality policy, code of ethics and BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures.Knowledge and understanding of BSA/AML statutes and regulations in general.Ability to identify unusual and/or suspicious activity and understand when it needs to be escalated within the FIU departmentCertifications/Specific Knowledge: Strong understanding of the regulatory requirements of CDD, CIP, IDV and UBO to ensure compliance under the regulations as they pertain to the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
