As a Supervisory Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Define broad policy objectives of the Branch to effectuate legislative, regulatory, and administrative goals, policies, and procedures with respect to the assigned programs.
  • Direct the development and implementation of training curricula for use by Headquarters and field staff with respect to the program and operational jurisdiction of the Branch.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to Congressional representatives, Departmental officials, representatives from other governmental agencies, and other clients regarding programs administered by the Branch.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures developed or implemented by the Branch, and develops recommendations for improvement where necessary.

The official duty station for this position will be in Washington, District of Columbia. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
  • Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience is 1 year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position

Specialized experience includes:

  • Leading or managing a team of employees and monitoring their progress towards achieving project goals and objectives; AND
  • Interpreting Laws and implementing programmatic changes as they relate to the operations of Multifamily Housing programs and budget execution; AND
  • Developing financial policy objectives ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and administrative goals, policies, and procedures; AND
  • Consulting with and providing technical assistance to Multifamily Housing program officials, residents, citizen groups, and Federal, state, or local government officials.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or [volunteer service]). One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:

For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.

Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
