JOB PURPOSE:

To act as the administrative and operational liaison between our organization's Administrator and MDVA. This position plays a vital role in ensuring continuity of the procurement efforts for the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Collaborate with the Administrator, MDVA, PH Supply Chain Management and contracting to maintain integrity in medical, physical, and environmental supply chain management.

2. Maintain a standing quality assurance and procurement mechanism to ensure the highest standards of care.

3. Participate in planning to enhance operational efficiency of the facility.

4. Prepare and submit Capital Expenditures in compliance with the MDVA contract and PH policies.

5. Conduct supply and material audits.

6. Plan, coordinate, control, and manage the functional areas related to medical supply and service operations to ensure optimal support for facility.

7. Support department supervisors to ensure they are responsible for the receipt, storage, and issue of medical supplies.

8. Ensure proper collection, evaluation, and accountability for equipment, repairs, and some supplies.

9. Coordinate and advise the Administrator and MDVA on vendors and procurement of equipment, repairs, PM contracts.

10. Plan, direct, implement and integrate material management functions.

11. Help to establish and maintain current vendor contracts.

12. Engage in the production, acquisition, receipt, storage, issue and distribution of all supplies, equipment, and repairs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:


• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion.


• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.


• Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.


• Must possess the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.


• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.


• Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multifunctional logistical operations effectively.


• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Must possess, as a minimum, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and quality assurance processes. Must have prior military service.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of military logistics systems.
