As a part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Franciscan Orthopedics - Silverdale is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon Generalist / Total Joint Surgeon to join our team.

This Orthopedic Surgeon will be joining a well-respected team of 6 Orthopedic Surgeons and 7 Advanced Practice Providers. They should expect to be busy immediately as they will be joining the practice of a busy, reputable, retiring surgeon. Our new surgeon should anticipate the opportunity to build an elective general orthopedics and total joints practice, and should be comfortable with community trauma.

Position Highlights:

4 or 5 day work weekGroup consists of 6 Orthopedic Surgeons2 Sports/Shoulder, 1 Total Joint, 1 Foot & Ankle, 1 Spine, and 1 GeneralistClose/collegial working relationship with second group encompassing 1 Shoulder, 2 Hand, and 1 Knee specialistDedicated Orthopedic Center / ORs within brand new regional Level 3 community hospital -Total Joints Center of ExcellenceAvg 4-5 calls per month with stipend for callLarge geographic catchment / referral baseSupport from nearby major metropolitan area and Level I trauma centerExcellent APPs to assist with pre-ops, hospital rounding, post-ops, and moreDedicated MA and an experienced team of RNs for supportEPIC EMR Required Qualifications: Board Certification or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Preferred Qualifications: Unrestricted WA State Medical LicenseFellowship training or career experience in Total Joints, ability and interest in managing community trauma and general orthopedicsCurrent WA DEA certificate required prior to start dateTraining or Experience in EPIC EMR Candidates should be collegial team players with good patient and customer service skills. Silverdale, WA is the center of Kitsap County, with a rapidly growing population, and is a beautiful place to live and work. Seattle is about 80 minutes by car, and there is also a ferry system across the water to the city. Members of the group live around Silverdale, also in Gig Harbor to the south and Bainbridge Island to the northeast.
