Position Summary

ChronoTrack and Athlinks are looking for a UX Engineer with a passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing interfaces enjoyed by millions of users. This engineer will contribute to all areas of our product line, including hardware but primarily software. The position will team with Product Managers to understand new functionality, will perform studies with customers to understand workflow, and propose integration options into existing systems and processes. The best candidates will not only design UI/UX but also perform front-end development creating components and standards for the rest of the team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Builds efficient, testable, and reusable front-end components in varying technologies
  • Participates in Scrum ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups and sprint review
  • Provides estimates and progress updates of work
  • Provides candid feedback on process and execution to help improve department efficiency and developer experience
  • Collaborates with local and offshore developers to prevent knowledge silos
  • Google Analytics, Hotjar, and A/B testing experience desirable
  • Data-Driven methodologies for UX AnalysisWork with product managers to understand functional requirements and to substantiate design decisions
  • Express interfaces with ReactJS, Redux, and Material UI components
  • Develop / Implement / Maintain standard component catalog
  • JavaScript/Typescript Front-End Development
  • User Research to gather insights and perform usability testing
  • Map user journeys to address user needs and pain points
  • Wireframe and Prototype to visualize and test concepts
  • Work with marketing to ensure consistent branding/look and feel across products

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Portfolio / Past work showcasing design skills and process
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability testing methodologies, and information architecture. Be able to articulate UI/UX guiding principles and philosophies.
  • Awareness of web accessibility standards and practices supporting WCAG principles
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional/remote team environment

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer interaction, or a related field

Years of Experience:

  • 5 years experience working in a related field
