Duties
  • You will serve as an ANTENNA MECHANIC HELPER in the ANTENNA DIVISION, TELECOMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT at NCTAMSLANT DETACHMENT CUTLER, ME.
  • You will repair and maintain an antenna network consisting of steel towers, counterweight towers, tophat antenna panels, helix houses, cross arm clusters, antenna grounding systems, transmission line/tunnels, and hoist houses.
  • You will inspect and repair guy anchor grounds, check the guy tension and tower profiles, and adjust tower guy tensions and profiles as needed.
  • You will change oil in gear boxes, grease hoist spindles, inspect hoist drums and change gear lubricant.
  • You will make continuous visual inspections and perform other duties as assigned.
