Purpose
Support the design and execution of HEMA analytics, reimbursement and health policy initiatives for the Interventional Cardiology business, working with HEMA colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilize knowledge of available data assets (e.g. Medicare claims data) to define and execute data analytic initiatives, in support of business unit objectives.
- Maintain and update health economic and reimbursement resources for the IC business unit, including coding guides and reimbursement calculators.
- Maintain current HEMA information and resources on internal Sharepoint and Showpad sites.
- Utilize data collection platforms (e.g. Excel, Salesforce) to gather and report on team activities and key performance metrics.
- Process regulatory/legal reviews to secure approvals for new and updated HEMA resources.
- Monitor and assess health policy updates impacting BSC's Interventional Cardiology portfolio and support the development of communications to inform internal and external stakeholders.
- Periodically provide information/training to cross-functional colleagues, to increase awareness and understanding of available data resources and analytics capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education
- 2+ year experience in health care, preferably with experience working with new medical technologies/devices
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems including health policy trends, payment systems (inpatient/outpatient/physician/ASC) and associated documentation/coding requirements.
- Ability to advance initiatives independently and in a fast-paced matrix environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced capabilities in Excel
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in public health, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, health care administration or related discipline
- Familiarity with interventional cardiology / structural heart procedures and products
- Market Access and/or Cardiovascular Coding certifications
