As a Senior Reinsurance Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing reinsurance accounting operations. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, analyze financial data, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee reinsurance accounting processes, including premium and claim accounting, settlements, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to reinsurance activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
- Monitor and analyze reinsurance contracts to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
- Provide support for audits and regulatory examinations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of reinsurance principles and practices.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
