Responsibilities:
-Provide Organizational Leadership
-Consistently and accurately report progress on departmental goals, metrics and other information to the executive leadership team
-Ensure strong, internal control environments with clear, well-enforced ethics and conduct standards through continual improvement of policy and procedure
-Develop, deepen and maintain trusted and collaborative relationships with business partners to ensure the department is seen as a valued partner and is involved in business decisions
-Foster positive work environments for department team members to feel empowered and self-motivated as it relates to performing their duties well
-Lead the development and implementation of sound processes and procedures that ensure checks and balances are in place for all purchasing, invoice review, invoice approval and vendor payment activities
-Define and implement purchasing strategies, policies, processes and tools that optimize cost savings and purchasing efficiencies while simultaneously prioritizing safety, quality, customer service and efficiency
-Prioritize the successful execution of department specific work to ensure all business and department objectives are achieved and high-performance standards remain as the expectation
-Manage all critical activities that support the development of successful strategic supplier partnerships and providing leadership for all purchasing activities through project coordination, effective negotiation and best practice implementation
-Qualify new and existing suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, payment terms and quality
-Negotiate and execute supplier contracts as needed to support critical business needs
-Coordinate the identification and execution of improved margin growth opportunities and cost mitigation/reduction strategies

-BA or BS degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or another related field
-Proven success in CPG or Manufacturing industries
-Proven success in Commodity or Packaging industries
-7+ years of progressive success in Purchasing or Supply Chain
-Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements
-Demonstrated supplier and project management skills
-Strong contract development and supplier negotiation skills
Superior leadership, communication and influencing skills
-Proficiency in MS Office products and other software tools
-Proficiency working in ERP software system, SAP
-Deep knowledge in packaging purchasing practices
