Vehicle Special Order (VSO) is one of Ford Pro's strategic competitive advantages and represents a significant contribution to Ford Pro revenue and margin as well as fleet customer satisfaction. As VSO Analyst, your role is to act as the voice of the fleet customer, specifically, large fleet accounts, by accommodating their complex build schedules and timing as well as their unique paint and/or feature requirements.

This role is highly analytical and requires the ability to translate complex schedules into clear, organized build schedules. It requires the ability to think ahead, plan for the future, and make decisions that align with long-term goals. Flexibility to adjust to changes on the fly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review annually, carryover VSO paint and options with VSO Engineering and Manufacturing, develop new SOC Codes (Special Order Codes).
  • Review annually, carryover paint and option pricing, update VSO pricing charts.
  • Review and update, as needed, VSO-specific Ford Pro and Ford Corporate websites, VSO Order Guide, Pricing.
  • Develop monthly VSO/LPO paint schedules and coordinate build timing with Scheduling and Manufacturing (plant).
  • Provide monthly/quarterly/annual vehicle-line volume estimates, by customer, to Capacity Planning/Scheduling.
  • VSO Equipment and Paint inquiry processing. Receive VSO inquiries from dealers or fleet management companies (FMC), disposition and forward to VSO engineering for evaluation. Provide responses to dealer/FMC VSO Inquiry rejections/approval.
  • New VSO option/paint development and pricing. Creating new options from approved VSO inquiries, implement in VSO Web.

You'll have...

  • 5+ years of commercial vehicle experience
  • 5+ years of scheduling experience
  • 3+ years of Microsoft Excel skills, and expertise with Ford order management tools or similar: CONCEPS, AccuQuote, SAMS, TSO2, TSO10, RTOM, VOCI, MOCM/PDL's

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple complex programs at once.
  • Must be able to effectively lead in-person or remote meetings with the customer, dealer/FMC, and upfitter.
  • Ability to learn new systems including VSO Web, VSO Inquiry System
  • Major Account Support – Work to optimize plant scheduling and production efficiency while assisting major accounts with their complex option and scheduling needs.
  • Work with Ford NAMs, GAMs, CBM's with VSO accounts.
