Summary:

The Testing Assistant, under the direct supervision of the Manager, Testing Centers is responsible for the administration of exams, maintenance of test security and confidential information and customer service support for testing services. Exams are administered in computerized, paper, and Internet-based formats with different rules, regulations, and procedures for each exam program.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Summary of Essential Functions:
  • Administers tests in strict compliance with all applicable testing rules, regulations, and procedures; maintains required security of all exam materials and confidentiality of proprietary information; provides clear and concise information and testing instructions to examinees.
  • Provides clear and concise testing instructions to examinees as well as other exam-related information to students, faculty, staff, and community members.
  • Monitors the testing rooms to ensure examinees are complying with testing rules and procedures. Reports any suspected violations of testing rules and procedures, such as cheating and identity fraud, to supervisors.
  • Proctors 1-1 exams for students with disabilities as needed.
  • Attains exam administrator and proctor certifications, and maintains certifications periodically, as required by outside testing partners and regulatory bodies.
  • Provides customer service support and information about testing services to students, staff members in other departments and others requesting general information by telephone, email, or in person.
  • Other duties as assigned.
