Hummingbird Scientific is excited to announce a new opportunity for an Engineering Physicist to collaborate with our Engineering team. The role involves contributing to the development of designs for in-situ microscopy precision instruments. As an Engineering Physicist on our team, you will play an important role with diverse responsibilities. These include using advanced mathematical skills to solve engineering challenges, designing, and constructing experimental systems, conducting comparative analyses, and demonstrating proficiency in working with vacuum-based experimental chambers. Your expertise is crucial for implementing stringent safety protocols when working with high voltage, ensuring a secure and controlled working environment.
Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in advanced mathematics
Experience with high voltages
The ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions is essential
Hands-on experience with building vacuum-based experimental chambers
Education & Experience
Minimum of a Master's in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong Applied Physics background with a focus on experimental system design.
Optional Qualifications
Experience handling cryogens is a plus
Prototyping and designing experience
