Summary

This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Northwest Region, Wapato Irrigation Project, Branch of Irrigation in Wapato, Washington.

NOTE: TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED. ANY RELOCATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH REPORTING FOR DUTY WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELECTED EMPLOYEE.

Duties
  • Determine and direct visitors and calls to the appropriate staff or provide information or procedural matters.
  • Maintain supervisor calendars, arrange appointments, and informs supervisors of meetings and commitments.
  • Review and screen incoming correspondence prior to distribution and keep supervisors updated.
  • Keep supervisors informed on important office details and activities.
  • Responsible for accuracy of codes and regulatory authorities in relation to the daily activities in all automated systems.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and records in final form from rough drafts.
  • Provide guidance and information on office operations such as time and attendance, leave, and all reporting and correspondence procedures involved.
  • Review and verify travel related documents including authorizations, advances, and vouchers.
  • Responsible for logging and sorting all incoming/outgoing mail.
