Sr. Structural Engineer, PE

We are a multi-disciplined engineering firm, headquartered in a metro region and in search for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Engineering Division. This role is perfect for someone wanting to move into a department manager role. Our partnership sees value in what you can bring to the table, even if it is something other than what we have listed below. We are in search of collaborators, engineers who can communicate effectively, and work well with our clients.

Job Description

  • Project management, project development, planning, business development, client management, and financial performance.
  • Provide structural design expertise as part of a project team or independently and coordinate with other disciplines in achieving design solutions
  • Develop structural engineering design solutions for buildings and structures integrating project objectives and design criteria
  • Interact and communicate effectively with design team members
  • Deliver complete and accurate structural designs and prepare structural drawings and details on-time and within design budget
  • Assure compliance with company quality control program
  • Check work of others as assigned
  • Review construction shop drawings and submittals
  • Certify engineering design documents as required

Position Requirements

  • BS Civil with Structural Engineering emphasis (M.S. Engineering preferred)
  • 7-12 years related work experience
  • Understanding and ability to prepare design of structural steel, concrete, wood/timber, and masonry components and framing systems
  • Working knowledge of IBC, AISC, and ACI Building Codes
  • Professional Engineer (PE or SE)
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
