We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking Project Management Graduate – transit and rail focused - to join our established and growing team in New York.

In this position you will join the rail sector to coordinate all parties involved, taking time to fully understand our clients' needs. You will learn to define project briefs, engage with and manage expert design teams and contractors throughout the project life cycle, and create solutions for risks and obstacles along the way.

You will be based at one of Mace offices but may also spend your time at client premises. You will gain experience in all aspects of the construction process from initial design, through construction, fit out, commissioning, handover, and ongoing facilities management. You will be provided with a bedrock of experience that will help launch your career.

You'll be responsible for:

Performs a variety of engineering/ project management duties related to coordination, quality checks, reporting, planning, and delivering.
Assists in project management duties.
Attends client meetings and produce meeting minutes.
Attends meetings regularly to communicate with client, architects, and contractors on project details.
Receives client input and produce updates on progress.
Assists project team in preparing RFPs for submission.
Works with team to define business requirements, develop project plans, execute report and manage projects.
Researches market conditions and produce summaries.
Understands technical or professional aspects of work at appropriate level and continually maintains/updates knowledge.
Identifies problems, seeks relevant data and recognizes important information.
Conducts basic financial analysis.
Produces quantity take-off for various project schemes.
Reviews cost estimates.
Assists in the building estimate, cost plans, and final accounts documentation.
Organizes and makes record of change requests.
Researches market conditions and produce summaries.
Tracks project progress.

You'll need to have:

Currently pursuing or graduated with a relevant degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or management with a GPA of 3.1 or higher.
Great verbal and written communication skills and be eager to learn.
Ability to read construction drawings.
Ability to work hours a week.

You'll also have:

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Project experience a plus.
