Job Summary: The Associate Research Professional should show a high level of achievement and impact as appropriate for the position's duties. Oversees research projects and assumes responsibility for the day-to-day activity supporting the project. Contributes significantly to the planning and design of research and creative projects. May assist in both short-term and long-term planning and project goals, as well as in research and creative proposals and dissemination of project findings. This is only a representation of possible duties and is not an all-encompassing listing.

Additional Department Summary: This position is for an experienced researcher with several years of work in experimental particle physics involving detector operations and maintenance, including the detector electronics.

Required Minimum Qualifications: A relevant post-Baccalaureate degree is highly preferred (Master's degree or higher). For candidates demonstrating exceptional comparable independent research productivity, a relevant four-year undergraduate degree (B.A. or B.S.) and four (4) or more years of documented relevant experience may be substituted. May require terminal degree and licensure.

Preferred Qualifications: Master of Engineering or Physics or equivalent, 5 years of research experience in experimental particle physics.

Proven experience in detector and electronic systems for particle physics experiments, including commissioning, operations, maintenance, and upgrades. Ability to plan, setup, operate and maintain infrastructure to support detector and electronic system development, commissioning, and maintenance.

Experience in planning, coordinating, and carrying out interventions on detectors under tight schedules with a team of students, postdocs and researchers to be organized and supervised.
