Job Summary

CenterPoint Energy is looking for aHydrovacto join ourTeam, located inMinneapolis, Minnesota.

You will have the ability to:Operates and maintains Hydrovac Truck and related equipment to assist and support repair crews in the installation, maintenance and protection of the gas distribution system.

Essential Functions

• Operates Hydrovac Truck used to support and assist in the repair, replacement, and installation of gas mains and services, including the preparation and restoration of the construction site for completion of assigned projects.
• Performs routine operator maintenance on Hydrovac construction equipment to assure safe and efficient performance and minimal downtime.
• Drives hydrovac truck and other trucks, some with trailer attached, to transport construction equipment and necessary crew materials to job locations.
• Completes record keeping of work completed and gives work direction to other employees assigned to assist with Hydrovac operations.
• Assist repair crews with other related tasks as appropriate to ensure efficient operation of the repair crew.
• Maintains a professional working relationship with internal and external customers.

Education Description

• Requires successful completion of a certification program at an accredited educational institution in natural/propane gas distribution, installation and repair, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent technical skills.

Experience

• Requires one year experience in the installation or the repair of services and mains and the requisite knowledge and operating experience of various excavation equipment e.g., trencher, tractor, backhoe, and hydrovac excavation equipment.
