job summary:
An Engineering Technologist is needed for a world class utility company in Columbus, OH (preferred) and Tulsa, OK (hybrid) (hybrid) areas. This role involves performing electrical transmission system analysis, modeling, and protection system studies, contributing to the development of system-wide protection standards, and demonstrating leadership in technical proficiency, problem-solving, and communication skills.

responsibilities:
Demonstrate intermediate level ability to perform non-routine technical assignments of a complex nature.

Ensure all work activities are performed in accordance with company policies and standards.

Review trends of material and equipment performance and initiate necessary corrective action.

Work independently to identify and resolve complex problems.

Develop, review, or prepare technical reports effectively.

Make decisions in the absence of a definite framework or where few precedents exist.

Handle conflicting interests related to approaches on projects or studies. Education and Experience:

Engineering Technologist Assc: A degree in engineering technology is the preferred degree: however, engineering degrees will also be considered.

Engineering Technologist:

Bachelor's degree in engineering technology in a program accredited by ABET.

Has typically acquired 2 or more years of related experience in work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering technology principles.

A degree in engineering technology is the preferred degree: however, engineering degrees will also be considered. Engineer Assc: Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged and preferred.

Has typically acquired 2 or more years of related engineering experience along with

A Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET.

ABET: Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Acceptable alternatives:

A Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or

A Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (non-ABET) plus

A Master's degree or PhD in engineering technology from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
