Bookkeeper (Hybrid

A local architectural firm is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join their team and help maintain financial records and manage daily accounting tasks. The Bookkeeper will assist the Accounting Manager with project bookkeeping such as maintaining general ledger entries, preparing monthly financial reports, financial auditing, and maintaining accurate financial documentation.

The ideal candidate will have previous accounting clerk and/or bookkeeping experience.

Hours
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Location
Downtown, Honolulu, Oahu

Responsibilities
  • Process both Account Payables and Accounts Receivables.
  • Produce client and customer invoices (including following up on outstanding invoices and resolving invoice discrepancies).
  • Manage the payroll system (including processing employee timesheets).
  • Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements and expense reports.
  • Prepare Journal Entries; daily deposits, bank statements.
  • Track and manage the Company's financial data.
  • Prepare and file financial documents.
  • Document financial transaction details and monitor transactions.
  • Contact clients, consultants and vendors by phone, by email or in person to explain billing adjustments or any accounting-related issues that may occur.
  • Other accounting and administrative/clerical duties may be added as needed.


Qualifications
  • At least five years of office and clerical experience.
  • Experience with engineering accounting software (specifically Deltek Ajera) a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment state and federal background check.
