About this Position:
The Sr. Training Specialist II supports the PS&P business group in activities aimed at improving service training. This role will be focused on developing the Service/Technical abilities of Honda dealers and personnel to serve the needs of their customers. The associate will be responsible for project and event management, which enhances the relationship between Honda and its partners. As a training expert, analyze the training needs of districts, dealers, and technicians and make appropriate recommendations.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivery of Training:
- Instructor Lead Training at AHM training facilities as needed.
- Conduct special ILT events as needed.
- Achieve Senior Instructor level under the HM SIQP recognition program within three years.
- Curriculum development/enhancement Support:
- Web-based Training: Develop and execute the strategy for improving the courses currently offered for Powersports & Products content.
- Develop and execute new technical training content based on technician, dealer, and AHM needs.
- Event management:
- Planning and execution of the National Technician Contest.
- Training Ctr. Management:
- Inventory: Vehicles, parts, tools, and fixed assets.
- Classroom: Training aids and Maintenance, tools, computers, and audio-visual and service-related equipment.
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
- 5+ years as technical instructor with a manufacturer preferred
- Certificate of completion from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) or equivalent program preferred
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent vocational/tech school training certification
- High school diploma or GED considered with relevant experience
Desired skills:
- Extensive PowerSports division product knowledge
- Problem-solving, decision-making skills, sound judgement
- Ability to coach and motivate students

- Travel: 50%
