Duties


Plan, develop, and manage complex intelligence community demographic data sets that supports the requirements for policy development, outreach, strategy development, and deeper analysis.


Establish controls and develop processes to monitor the dissemination of information, continually improving and maintaining suspense database systems; maintain records and manage information in compliance with regulations and sensitive compartmentation.


Plan, develop, and present written and oral briefings to senior-level customers on significant and complex diversity; explain projects and issues to non-expert customers and tailor projects to ensure alignment with customer needs.


Cultivate and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, diversity experts, and ODNI senior leadership to share information of interest, explain the specifics of diversity when appropriate, present, justify, defend, negotiate, and/or settle matters involving significant or controversial issues.

Extensive knowledge and demonstrated application of object-oriented programming, preferably Python, to include statistical and visualization packages.

Experience using GitHub to document workflows and methodology.


Apply and utilize new or established analytical methods and tools within the component's area of focus, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and across the Intelligence Community (IC) that add value, rigor, and precision to the organization's analysis and collection programs and activities.


Collaborate and coordinate with other analysts and professionals to determine their specific analytical information and support needs and recommend and successfully apply a variety of quantitative or qualitative approaches to analyze and resolve the analytical issues identified.


Apply methodological tools and approaches to gain a comprehensive understanding of complex analytical issues for USG agencies and organizations; plan, and direct the inclusion of the results of these analyses and findings into a broad range of well-crafted, insightful, and sophisticated intelligence products or actionable intelligence.


Plan and manage the development and application of new or established analytical methods and tools within the component's area of focus, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and across the Intelligence Community (IC) that add value, rigor, and precision to the organization's analysis and collection programs and activities.

  • Must be a current permanent ODNI employee.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge and application of advanced statistics such as mix-effects models and random forests.

    Ability to translate complex, technical findings into an easily understood narrative (i.e. tell story with data).

    Analytical and critical thinking skills, including superior ability to think strategically.

    Ability to multitask and change focus quickly as demands change.

    Ability to effectively communicate complex, multi-disciplinary ideas and insights.

    Ability to identify and/or develop business opportunities.


Ability to evaluate data drawing pertinent inferences from data trend analysis, and interpretation of such inferences in keeping with the requirements of officials responsible for planning or for making policy decisions.
