Within this cross-centers and multicultural organization, the offshore engineer will work as consultant for GE and he/she is accountable for the control of the offshore engineering performed by GE local partner(s) or subcontractor(s) of the various projects.Job Description

Essential responsibilities:

  • Review GE offshore platform requirements according to local regulation and best practices
  • Support offshore engineering planning and cost estimation for the project
  • Control offshore engineering deliverables performed by GE partners or subcontractors to ensure it meets GE requirements
  • Support answers to client, partners & suppliers technical queries related to offshore engineering queries
  • Support claims resolutions and Non-Conformity Report with client, partners & suppliers technical queries related to offshore engineering queries
  • Support projects design and gate reviews
  • Support potential construction issues and claims resolution

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with Offshore Engineering
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestic and international for meetings, troubleshooting, liaison and on-site commissioning tests for customer installations. You must comply with all relevant GE company travel and tax policies

Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge on CAD design tools desirable
  • Strong knowledge on High Voltage substation international standards & guidelines (IEEE & ANSI standards and codes such as the NEC and NESC.), local Grid Codes and related equipment (safety, sizing, and integration)
  • Strong knowledge on contract and project management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), or Engineering equipment package (EEP), or subcontracting type for building services
  • Analytical mind, rigorous and commitment,
