PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. The Medical Transcriptionist will be responsible for accurately transcribing medical reports, summaries, and other healthcare documentation from audio recordings made by healthcare professionals. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and quality of patient records and supporting the overall efficiency of our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately transcribe medical reports, summaries, office visit notes, and other healthcare documentation from audio recordings.
• Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy, grammar, and clarity.
• Ensure that all transcriptions comply with established formats, medical terminology, and legal requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Verify patient information for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify dictations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Keep up-to-date with new medical terminology and advancements in the healthcare field.
• Manage and organize medical documents and records.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in medical transcription is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or similar role.
• Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
• Proficient in transcription software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent listening, typing, and editing skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is an advantage.
