Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to fulfill responsibilities such as employee relations; lead staff person for modified duty staff; IWIF processing and tracking; employee accommodations processing and tracking; FMLA determination, processing and tracking; and, obtaining and compiling data for the Health Safety Management Team. This position will also be responsible for obtaining, analyzing and interpreting data in order to apply rules, regulations and standards in accordance with laws; assisting in the administration of an assigned program, the supervision of an operational unit within an agency, and in the preparation of final reports and suggested recommendations for the improvement of the agency or its programs; consulting with program heads and administrative officials regarding policies, trends, and interpretation of data and program needs; and, researching and compiling data, as directed. This position will also prepare statistical tables, charts and reports, work-flow charts, staffing patterns, and organizational charts.\r

Per the Amended Directive and Order Regarding Vaccination (MDH # issued by the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Health, effective April 18, 2023, staff in all hospitals and residential facilities operated by the Maryland Department of Health or any local health department are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:� �Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.\r
Experience: Six months of general clerical or administrative support experience, at least three months must have been paraprofessional personnel experience involving the application of personnel procedures, policies, rules and regulations to specific employment actions. Appropriate paraprofessional personnel experience should have included responsibility for activities such as, preparing and maintaining employment records, calculating salaries, applying and interpreting rules and policies, preparing personnel-related reports, counseling employees regarding benefits and obligations, and responding to inquiries concerning employment actions.\r
Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in human resources assistance classification or human resources assistance specialty codes in the human resources management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r
