This job posting is for a position in the Telemetry Operations Group and is open to all ROC II Bargaining Unit employees deemed qualified, as determined by the Company, to perform the duties of "Telemetry Helper in the Telemetry Operations Service Area".
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- High School Diploma and active pursuit of Electronic Technical Degree Assist more senior technicians in operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical components of various Telemetry Antennas and their associated subsystems.
- With supervision, operate and maintain mechanical and electrical components of Telemetry Antennas and subsystems including digital recording devices, receivers, bit synchronizers and de-commutation equipment.
- Knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office Interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
- Knowledge of digital, analog and RF fundamentals and the ability to troubleshoot to the component level is required.
- Proficient with the use of test equipment for troubleshooting and maintaining radar systems (i.e., signal generators, power meters, function generators, multi-meters, and oscilloscopes)
- Maintain logs books and preventative maintenance schedules; perform corrective maintenance as required.
- Demonstrate mathematical skill necessary to perform basic algebraic functions required to analyze system performance.
- Perform manual tasks, which may include lifting 40 lbs. or more and working at heights, climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, or areas with limited environmental controls.
- Foreign and domestic travel is required up to 40% of the year. A valid U.S. passport may be required for this position.
Safety and quality awareness and compliance are required. Shift work may be required. Assignments may change or vary.
