As an IT Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

Define the equipment requirements needed for handling the IT solution. Analyze system parameters such as throughput and time in determining the level of equipment needed.

Maintain computer system programs such as operating systems, utilities, compilers, system drivers, and performance management systems to facilitate and control computer system operation and associated application programs.

Develop and operate IT networks. Configure and manage network servers and network software. Identify and correct network problems to optimize network performance.
Plan, design, develop, test, implement, manage, internal/external web sites. Determine overall website design/structure, monitor web-site functionality/ security/ integrity. Ensure the application of information security, information assurance policy, principles/practices.

Utilize knowledge of latest Internet technology, network infrastructure, web authoring, Federal policy on ecommerce, accessibility, networking fundamentals, non- compatibility issues, search engines, usability standards, web security, encryption, numerous software products/programming languages.

Ensure compliance with all government standards and laws. Practice data security and governance, to ensure data is kept secure, accessible and accurate. Create, revise, and enforce data management policies and develop techniques that allow for the collection of accurate data.
