Rainbow Aquatics is a family focused team determined to providing a safe nurturing environment for youth from novice to advanced swimming levels. We are seeking individuals to provide proper stroke technique in the 4 competitive strokes at the novice, beginner and intermediate levels, in the Kaimuki and Windward areas. This Individual should be a positive role model able to give clear instructions to help swimmers build good character and foundational swimming technique.

Coach Duties Include:

  • Teach basic swim technique
  • Instruct swimmers from in and out of the water
  • Monitor individual swimmer progress and adjust instruction as needed
  • Ensure safety during team practices and events
  • Plan and lead class
  • Create a fun & welcoming environment
  • Attend practices Monday - Fridays 1-2 hours a day
  • Attend swim meets approximately 1-2 times a month during the weekend

Qualifications Desired:

  • Coaching experience
  • Ability to create and implement swim training programs
  • Knowledge of competitive swimming rules and regulations
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Lifeguard certified (optional)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to work with other coaching staff
  • Must pass background check
