Otis Elevator Company is searching for initiative-taking candidates interested in starting a career in sales
The comprehensive training program provides development opportunities that consist of classroom instruction as well as firsthand field learning. Sales Trainees will shadow Sales Reps/Account Managers, Field Supervisors, and Technicians to obtain business and industry knowledge as well as product training. Following success in the 3-6+ month training program, Sales Trainees will be assigned a Sales role with a portfolio of accounts in a defined geographic territory.
Positions are available throughout North America. Candidates should be geographically mobile and location flexible to help ensure a fit can be made between individual preference and business necessity/requirements.
On a typical day you will:
- Sell Otis products and/or services upgrades
- Develop and explain the sales territory by engaging in cold calling and understanding local market conditions and competitor dynamics
- Identify customer benefits and upgrade opportunities
- Service existing accounts and provide technical support
- Enhance existing and cultivate fresh business connections
- Achieve or exceed planned sales objectives
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of Otis products
- Monitor and manage the collection of accounts
- Conduct product quality surveys
- Schedule necessary field resources to ensure customer satisfaction
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree required or currently pursuing degree which must be awarded prior to start date
- Ability to work in a highly orientated and dynamic environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
- Initiative-taking and able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
- Prior sales internship experience is advantageous

The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $75,000. We may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
