The part-time Clnicial Nursing Instructor will work with Immigrant nurses to foster a smooth orientation to the clinical nursing environment in the US. Assist with course curriculm planning and implementation of Transition to Nursing in the US course. This course introduces roles of the professional nurse in the US health care system. It is designed to provide the participants a deeper understanding of the health care delivery system and the role of the professional nurse as well as profession-related and patient care concepts. Emphasis is placed on the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to provide safe, quality care. It provides the framework for preparing registered nurses educated in foreign countries to perform a basic health assessment on adult patients. The theoretical foundation for basic assessment and nursing skills is presented, and the participant is given an opportunity to demonstrate these skills in the laboratory setting. Course content is based on local and national trends.

Instructor will:

  • Facilitate simulation sessions, debriefings, and skills lab exercises to enhance student's critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and technical skills.
  • Providing guidance and feedback to students during simulation activities to promote learning and skill acquisition.
  • Participating in the evaluation and assessment of student's performance in simulation-based activities.
  • Fostering a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing and current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse in good standing in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of five years full-time experience in Nursing
  • Teaching experience preferred
